Tom Rogawicz- Percussion

Tom celebrated 50 years of percussion January 2006; teaching and playing. For 32 years, Tom has played with the Rockford Symphony Orchestra having had the honor and pleasure of backing many classical and jazz artists, such as Ethel Merman, Benny Goodman, Oscar Peterson, Doc Severonson, and Curt Elling. Another great opportunity came about when Tom worked with Glenn Miller Army Air Force Alumni in a Glenn Miller Style orchestra at the Glenn Miller Festivals- Clarinda, Iowa . Tom, a retired teacher, is trying to play as much as possible.  Currently, Tom is playing in Class Act II Big Band, Steve Littles Orchestra, Steve Kix Big Band, and Josh Duttee’s Gene Goldkette Orchestra. Two exciting experiences for Tom have been working with Louis Bellson over the past four years and recently backing the Nelson Riddle Orchestra.
